BTP Document Information Extraction Service - Retrieval of deleted document data

Hi,

We are using SAP BTP - Document Information extraction service in which we have created templates & uploaded scanned documents against the templates as well.

Everything was working fine & data was being scanned as well.

Subsequently we observed documents uploaded earlier are automatically being deleted from SAP BTP.

For .e.g, document uploaded on 01st Sept 2023 is no longer visible in BTP.

We wanted to understand if there is a way to restore the documents in SAP BTP Document extraction service

Hi Gavin,

I'm happy to hear that our service is working fine for you. Regarding the deletion of data, you correctly observed that we automatically delete the documents after a certain retion period. This happens due to data protection requirements. In the link you shared, you can find more details (under "Deletion of Personal Data"), we offer a configuration with which you can change the retion period to up to 30 days.

Unfortuntely, when the documents get deleted, they are completely gone and we cannot restore them anymore.
