Hi Experts,
We have an On-Premise version of GitLab which is now used to maintain the UI codebase. However, with the ABAP environment in BTP it seems that using the ABAPGIT is the only way to manage and move codes in the cloud environment. Since we already have an on-premise version of GitLab, we would like to use the same for ABAP as well. But unfortunately we are not able to connect the GitLab On-Premise instance to the BTP ABAP environment.
It would be great if someone from the community can support us or guide us from similar experiences from the past.
unfortunately, when using abapGit, "The repository has to be accessible from the Internet. Cloud Connector is not supported." (see https://help.sap.com/docs/sap-btp-abap-environment/abap-environment/import-content-from-abapgit-repo...). So you cannot import from your on-premise version of GitLab using abapGit. You need to make your repository accessible from the Internet.
Best regards
Kai

Hi @kaidehmann,
Thanks for the guidance. We would look into making the repository available over the internet.
