Custom Fiori App works fine on desktop but not in iphone (iOS)

Hi,

We have received a custom Fiori app from a vendor for Transport approval. This app works perfectly fine on a desktop. i.e. on the fiori launchpad we see the tile which also has a count of pending transports awaiting approval. And when we click on the tile, it opens the app and shows the transports that await approval.

However when we try the same thing on a mobile device (iphone / iOS) we see the tile on the fiori launchpad with the count of pending transports awaiting approval. However when we click the tile, we do not see anything. It shows no entries in the master detail page.

Below are the list of errors that I see on the mobile device launchpad log. I do not see anything in /IWFND/ERROR_LOG.

Hi Julius,

My issue is resolved by tracking the mobile traffic through fiddler tool.I got to know the broken url by tracking and fixed it.

Not sure if this can help you but you can also try to track the traffic with fiddler tool.Follow the below link to setup proxy on mobile to track the traffic.

Thank you Rajeev. I've tried that but due to working remotely with the current situation, the fiddler doesn't seem to work. I will be trying this when I get back to office.

Hi Rajeev,

Unfortunately this hasn't been resolved yet. What I further noticed is, that this app works fine on the browser on the iphone but doesn't work in the Fiori Client app. After much debugging by the vendor developers, SAP support and me, it seems to be pointing to cordova and a possible upgrade to the backend systems that provides this functionality, seems to be needed. The next step is to test this after that upgrade with the hope that this gets resolved.

Thanks for your reply .Actually in my case we are using only standard apps and i received "file not found " error when launch the fiori launchpad by mobile fiori client or mobile web browser.If i click on home button of Fiori client ,it gets loaded successfully but while i login it always gives me error "file not found".

Hello julius.pereira25 - How did SAP resolved this issue? we also facing the same issue with latest SDM32SP02 PL02 for custom Fiori client. What's your mobile platform for app deployment? is it SMP/Afaria/ Air Watch or different? can you help us on this?

Hi Sreedhar,

Unfortunately this issue isn't resolved yet. Its more on the vendor app side and we are evaluating the upgrade of the related backend systems for this as suggested by the vendor. We are running the app in the Fiori Cloud in SCP and using the standard Fiori Client app to access the apps on the phone.
