Enhancing 1CL_OMAT001 steps by step

Hello BW Gurus,

ECC team have added a new grouping as new classification in material master.

Now I need to enhance classification data source accordingly.

We are already using 1CL_OMAT001 and 0Material_Attr in our BW system.

I would like to understand the following:

1. For the new fields added in the ECC table, will this be enhanced in 1CL_OMAT001 or 0Material_Attr data source.

2. How CTBW enhancement is different than what we normally enhance in RSA6.

3. How do I fill the below table if I use CTBW t-code, e.g what do I write in Basic DataSource and DataSource Type fields here. Where do I enter field name here ?

4. Do I need to write a CMOD or BADI if I add fields using CTBW

5. Last but not the least, if I use t-code CTBW, do I still need to add fields in the extractor using the traditional way of t-code RSA6 as well.

Will appreciate if you help clearing my confusion.

Hi BRG,

Assuming that the new classifications are not time dependent or arrays, the simplest path may be to delete 1CL_OMAT001 and recreate it.

I have not used the CTBW t-code. Can't help you there.

If you are going to create a custom extractor, you may do do by joining the AUSP, CABN and the CAWNT tables. As thses tables contain all classification data, you will need to apply many filters to the join.
