Fiori Elements - Navigate to external 'absolute' URL

Dear experts,

The Fiori elements app throws an error when trying to access the external URL. It tries to generates a path, rather than jumping to the 'Literal' URL string provided.

Annotation: (tried both ways as shown below and observed same results)

Literal:

Path: URL value filled in backend Odata is www.google.com



Output:

Error and generated URL path, after navigation:

The annotation was provided referring to Documentation. Kindly help to resolve this issue or suggest alternative solution.

Have you tried adding https:// to the URL? Then it's an absolute URL.

Thanks Gregor. It works. Looks like without the string https:// , it considers it as an element and tries to bind it. Hence the error.
