How to measure/change string dimensions?

Hello,

could you please help me with this probably basic problem?

I have an "Original price" and "Price after the discount" as dimensions and I need to count their difference. But I am not able to do that when they are string dimensions, so I need either:

1) turn them into measures

2) or change string to integer

but both methods end up in this error:

What am I doing wrong?

When you created this model, these columns of prices should have been modelled as measures and not dimensions in the data wrangling and mapping window. If you face errors during modelling them as measures you should resolve them. Price cannot be dimensions as they are numeric measures. Once they are modelled as measures that should resolve your issues.
