Issue faced with HCC (Hana Cloud Connector)
When registering company for Hana Could Platform, an account has been created. Partner has 5 members in the team & each member has a Hana Cloud connector (HCC) setup on the workstation to link SAP ERP Front-end system to webIDE for allowing testing and deployment. Partner has therefore defined some destinations in HCP for each front-end system where they are working on.
HCC needs the account name and the account user (created by partner) to connect to the HCP instance on ap1.hana.ondemand.com.
It appears that HCC connection supports only one active account name at a time so every day, the 1st developer leaving the office will stop the connection when his machine shutdown forcing another developer to start HCC again.
On HCC, It has been seen that additional account can be created but it seems those are for managing deployment & testing of cloud apps.
Kindly confirm Hana Cloud Connector should be installed on a server using one of our account user rather than each developer workstation as all the users are using the same account???
Regards,
Also please note, that it is "SCC", not "HCC"! (Which can be seen in the OSS component: "BC-MID-SCC".) There is no such thing as "HCC"...

Hi Mike,
well, it's not like "the original name was HCC and then marketing got bored and changed it to SCC"...
The original name was "SAP Cloud Connector" (with OSS component BC-MID-SCC, which was created right when the first SCC version was released in 2011), and then later marketing decided to stick the label "HANA" onto it, changing the name to "SAP HANA Cloud Connector". But still the abbreviation remained at SCC.
Cheers, Ulrich
Hi Ulrich,
That makes a bit more sense. When I started working with customers, it was HCC which was abbreviated in flow charts, schedules, etc. Since SCC also stands for SMP Control Center and SUP Control Center and probably others as well, HCC has less potential for confusion.
Cheers, Mike

Hello Saurav,
I can confirm that it makes sense to install the Cloud Connector on a central instance that is used by all of your developers. And it's also true that you can connect exactly one Cloud Connector to a single account, not more.
Best regards,
Markus
