MDG-F to multiple S4 Hana target systems cost center hierarchy replication

Our MDG system is having one standard hierarchy and multiple alternate hierarchies for Profit Center object. The requirement here is to replicate the Alternate hierarchies to respective target system.

Few of the Profit Centers and Profit Center Groups are common across the standard and alternate hierarchy. When replicating the alternate hierarchy, we noticed that the entire subset of Profit Center groups (including the profit centers) are getting replicated to the target system.

The actual requirement is to replicate the selected Profit Center Groups and selected Profit Centers (which are in common with the standard hierarchy) to the target system.

Is this possible via standard functionality? or should we consider and enhancement?

In MDG -

1. If you replicate a group hierarchy it will replicate all the groups and PCs present in the hierarchy.

2. You can not replicate PC groups individually.

3. if the groups/PCs are assigned to multiple hierarchies the system will try to replicate all of the hierarchies it is assigned to. Otherwise the target system will not be able to identify where the subnodes belong to.

The standard process doesn't have a provision to select only a subset. However you can make use of the edition. Create 2 versions of the assignment and in one of the versions assign the groups/PCs only to the alternative hierarchy or any hierarchy structure that you want. Set up your replication based on the Edition.

The other version obviously should reflect the complete hierarchy and it's assignments
