Migrate Portal Favorites

I need to migrate all our users portal favorites from 1 install of portal 6.0.17 to portal 7.0.11

I have read other threads and believe I can use ICE to accomplish this task.

Is it possible to use ICE across different portal versions?

Has anyone done this successfully?

Any help would be great.

I do confirm I've successfully used ICE do migrate KM content from EP6 to EP7.

Process as discribed in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/35/4cf72bfe18455e892fc53345f4f919/content.htm">SAP Help</a>, and you will have no problem

Have you moved portal favorites in this manor?

What happens if a favorite with the same name exists in the new system under the same user? Does it get overwritten, or do they collide and error out?

I did not move favorites, but only KM documents.

But the method is valid to transport any kind of KM Content.

If you want to be on the safe side, just take a backup of your portal before importing.

I would expect that content with the same ID is overwrittent.
