On Premise SAP SDI Tool for Replication data from AWS Oracle DB using adapter

Hi Team,

We have Oracle DB system which resides in on-premise network and we are connecting this DB from OracleLogReader adapter to replicate the data from replication task using SAP SDI tool.

Now the Oracle DB is moved from On-Premise DB to AWS Cloud Oracle DB and soon they are going to stop connection request for on-premise oracle DB.

We have requirement, we need to connect to AWS Cloud Oracle DB system from our On-Premise SAP SDI tool.

We are not sure, which adapter from SAP SDI tool gives flexibility to connect cloud AWS system.

Searched for the blogs and documentation and I didn't find any which provides from On-Premise SAP SDI connecting to oracle db instance which resides in AWS cloud environment.

Could you help us, which is the best way we can connect to cloud aws from On-Premise SAP SDI tool.

Hi Zameer

if I understood correctly, you have an SAP HANA (On-Prem) and you Integrate from an Oracle on prem using SDI

Now that Oracle is moving to AWS, your SDI and Adapter will remain the same, no need to worry

Even if you are using Amazon RDS for Oracle, since the Oracle JDBC Adapter is installed in your HANA and you already have it, you need to do nothing but opening ports on the Security Groups, Network ACLs and similar.
