RAP Extension vs. Custom Field APP: Functional Location

Hey there,

we are on S/4 onPremise, we need to add a few fields to the "Functional Location" RAP Object. Now I see two options:

- do it manually as described in the RAP Extension part of SAP Help

- use Custom Field Fiori App

Looking at the generated objects of the app, it pretty much does what I would do manually. Is there a recommendation of when to use which option?

Hi christopherlinke - The first thing that comes to my mind is : will you choose key-user extension app as low code-no code way of doing it, against the pro-developer oriented way of doing it.

Hi srinivas1984_rao,

why wouldn't you? As a pro-developer you can access all fields created by the app, so right now I don't see why you wouldnt (even as a pro-developer)
