Active Directory Authentication in SAP GUI for SAP S/4HANA on premise

Hi ,

We need to setup AD authentication in our SAP S/4HANA on-premise system. Please let me know if this is possible without using the SAP SSO license as we don't have it. And how do we set it up.

Is there a way to sync AD passwords with the sap system ?

Yes, this is possible without SAP SSO license. Instead, you can license software from SAP partner companies. The SAP SSO license is not the only option available. I don't recommend using password sync. I know companies that have done this and then they discover the issues and have to use AD password auth or SSO eventually.
