Analysis for office on Office 2016 64bit

Dear,

I’m experiencing following issue with Analysis for office on Office 2016 64 bit on my new laptop.
First of all the version information:

Office:

Analysis for office (latest available version):

Sap GUI: 7.4

The error occurs when I try to insert a datasource:

I select ‘Select datasource’

In following screen: ‘Skip’

Than I get immediately following error without getting the option to select a connection:

I notice it is working when I perform the steps in following order:

Open Excel,

In analysis tab, select ‘Display’ so that the extra tab on the right opens.

Then I select ‘Select datasource’ & ‘Skip’ and then I get the list:

For files which have analysis sources in the file this is a serious issue, because these will crash immediately when opening. However when I first open an excel file with the analysis Display opened and than open the new excel file with analysis datasources included it seems to work.

So in my opinion something is not working related to the initialization of the analysis for office plugin as it seems not to correct start without opening this display part.

Also tried analysis for office 2.4, same error.

Solution that I provided myself:

remove office 64 bit
install office 32 bit

Install analysis for office 32 bit

Now everything is working, Analysis for office support for 64 bit seems to be not working..
