Barcode printing: with SAPscript in absence of SAPLPD

Dear friends,

I've a situation with one of our customers, following are the detail:

SAP System: SAP ECC6.0 EHP7 with SP10

OS: SLES11 SP4 and DB: Oracle 11.2.0.4

SAP Kernel: 749 PL 600

Issue: Customer uses mostly Ricoh printers (Ricoh-Aficio SP4310N, SP 430DN, 4510DN) to print barcodes from SAPscript. This has been working perfectly till the use of SAP Kernel 742.

When Kernel was upgraded to 749, users are not able to print barcodes using the same SAPscripts. SAPLPD doesn't trigger anymore. I understand that SAPLPD is no longer supported and we should use access method G now however that also doesn't help and need is only to use method F for certain reasons.

I even implemented SAP note-2028598, along with manual correction mentioned but that didn't help either.

I would request your suggestions if someone came across such issues.

Thank you in advance,

Sujit

Update:

We used SAPSprint to achieve the required printing since SAPLPD is no longer supported with newer kernels.

Best regards,

Sujit
