Hello there,
I know that the new BI Web Runtime demands the Java Stack. For normal executions the BEx Analyser is the exception. BI data can be displayed without involvement of BI Java.
My question is: Can you use new Java related functionality like Drag & Drop which is also available during runtime in Excel for example filtering, switching columns by Drag & Drop...without having the Java stack installed?
Thanks a lot for your help and best regards
Thomas
I think my question was not correctly answered. Microsoft .Net is also compiled in a VM like Java. I guess this VM is the SAP J2EE engine. So I conclued that the BI JAva Stack is necessary to use the .Net based BEx Analyser functionality for BI 7.0?!
Does anyone have some good knowledge about this topic?
Thanks and BR
Thomas
