BoM API I_BILLOFMATERIALTP_2 : Sub Items and Long Texts

Hello,

can anybody tell us if CDS View/B.def. I_BILLOFMATERIALTP_2 can be used as official/released prgramming API?
It seems so in FSP2022 / SAP_BASIS 757.

Furthermore: Currently it's not possible to change sub item via this interface. Why is this? Will there be any option to change sub items in the future? The same applies to long texts. Will it be supported to change them in the future, because it's still supported in SAP GUI?

Hi - I can see that the API has the "PUBLIC_LOCAL_API" contract type. So, yes - it can be used in the developer extensibility.
