in the tx XK03 you can create providers. I don't know if there is a standard BAPI that allows me to create, modify and extend
Transaction XK03 is about Display vendor. To actually help you here you have to provide on which S/4HANA or SAP ERP version you're at.
I am working on R3. There would not be a BAPI that allows me that job.
If I wanted to migrate to HANA, would it be complicated?
I would suggest you start transaction SE37 and search for BAPI*VENDOR*
