Does the non-central AAE in PI AEX need to have it's own database or can it share the database of the central AAE?
Hi
I would say yes. We recently implemented a NCAAE in our landscape. It provides separation of services and redundancy. We have a separate UME, SLD and DB. Otherwise any outage on the central instance will cause an outage on the NCAAE.

Thanks a lot Robert for your answer. Quick question, why would you have a separate SLD for the NCAAE? As far as I understand, it would make sense to have it on a central SLD.
