Eclipse 2020-09: Using SSL to Connect to HANA DB throws Java-Error

Hello Community,

We have recently upgraded Eclipse to 2020-09 and installed the corresponding HANA tools.

Unfortunately, some colleagues get the following error message when they try to connect to a HANA DB using SSL:

java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: This method is deprecated and marked for removal. Use the getPeerCertificates() method instead.

Eclipse Build id: 20200910-1200

SAP Development Tools Version: 2.3.56

Are there any suggestions on how to deal with the error?

We have not actively solved the problem, but it no longer appears either.
