Hi,

I am trying to integrate SAP on premise s/4 hana.

I have followed following blog but unable to get events in Event Mesh.

Configure SAP Enterprise Messaging for SAP S/4HANA On-Premise 2020 via Service Key | SAP Blogs

I am using "dev" plan of trial account.

Need Help ASAP.

No, that is not correct. The Add-On is not required for S/4. You may want it for other reasons, but Enterprise Event Enablement is part of S/4.

Hi mikael.gurenius5,

You would be correct if your were talking about S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. On every tenant the software required for the Event Mesh integration is already there. However, singhsahab811, clearly has stated that his question is related to S/4HANA On-Premise - which doesn't come by default with this Add-On installed. The same is valid for S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.

If you read carefully the following SAP Note, you will see that S/4HANA doesn't come with it as it is an add-on from ASAP.IO in which its license is already provided by all SAP S/4HANA & ECC customers.

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2927040

Also, this add-on is featured as a separate downloadable initial installation from Software Center.

This add-on was specifically designed to work with BTP Even Mesh as it contains the relevant connector to with with it.

S/4HANA does have an event system, but it is not related to this question.

Best regards,
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

until today I thought that you need the add-on from ASAP.IO only if you want to integrate custom events to Event Mesh. All Events listed at api.sap.com will be supported out of the box in an On Prem S/4HANA or?

Best Regards
Gregor

Hi singhsahab811,

Please go to the message monitoring and error logs to throubleshoot why your events aren't reaching to BTP Event Mesh instance:

Hi gregor.wolf, Hi mikael.gurenius5?url_id=text-global-profile-inbox-qa-content-commented,

You are both 100% correct - sorry for any confusion I caused. S/4HANA does come with its own event system that is fully integrated with BTP Event Mesh. The Add-On for Event Enablement is also available to both ECC and S/4HANA for complex scenarios.

Again, my bad.

Best regards,
Ivan
