Generate ABAP Repository Objects not enabled

Dear all,

When trying to use the Generate ABAP Repository Objects I get the message "The chosen operation is not enabled".

Would you know what could be the reason?

My system is on premise.

If you want to activate a database table, use the button "activate", not the option "Generate ABAP Repository Objects".

Why did you think I want to activate the database table?

Because in the screenshot the table ZERROR_CODE seems to be selected.

Hi Robson,

this functionality ("Generate ABAP Repository Objects ...") is currently only supported on SAP BTP ABAP Environment (aka Steampunk).

The current plan is to make it available on-premise starting with the upcoming SAP S/4HANA release.

Hi Robson Soares,
When the ABAP system doesnot support ABAP Repository object Generator, the pop up shows "The chosen operation is not enabled". This has been rectified in the next ADT release, where the option is no longer shown in menu when the underlying system does not support the generator.

If you are facing problem, please create a OSS ticket on component BC-DWB-AIE-SRB, we will look into it.

Hi Robson Soares,

There is no prerequisite other than the release of the tool. The tool is available from 2022 on prem release (SAP_BASIS 757).

On clicking on the option, I don't see any pop-up or message.

ADT version: Version: 3.35.100

SAP_BASIS: 816

which ADT/Eclipse version are you currently using? Have you already tried to update your ADT/Eclipse to the latest version?
