How to Connect to Synapse SQL from SAP Data Services

Dear Techies

I have an requirement to load the data from Synapse SQL. Now the question is how to establish connection between SAP Data Services to Synapse SQL?

Please suggest what are the prerequisites to connect the Synapse SQL, and how to connect the same.

Hi Bhakta,

You won't find the name Synapse Analytics anywhere in the SAP Data Services documentation (yet) but when you look for "Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse" (also "Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse" or "Azure SQL Datawarehouse") you can find some information.

From the PAM I understand connectivity is supported using the 2016 client (Windows)> https://support.sap.com/content/dam/launchpad/en_us/pam/pam-essentials/TIP/PAM_DataServices_4_2.pdf

Hi Denys,

Thank you for your response, actually requirement is that we have to connect the Synapse SQL (apologies I had mentioned incorrectly )from BODS designer , however we have achieved this using ODBC connection along with SQL 2017 drivers.
