How to set default jdk in BAS to java 1.8?

I want to change the default jdk version to 1.8. Previously there was command in palette to set default jdk version, but now its disappeared. How to set default jdk in BAS?

Hi,

To set the default Java version, enter the following command:

Java: Set Default JDK.

However, please note that in the next release of BAS, Java 17 will be set as the default and only Java version, and will overrun your changes. You will be able though to install and set Java 8 as the default version again using ASDF. The details will be communicated in BAS what's new and documentation once released.
