IAS as proxy

Hi all.

We are looking into setting up IAS as Proxy to our Corporate IDP. We have SF and we want to utilize embedded SAC and SF stories.

However, I found this blog where in FAQ section the author states that using IAS as proxy may not be a future-proof solution for SAP Cloud services.

Additionally, this document, while describing setup as proxy, still states that we must migrate all our users to IAS.

So how is it? Is it possible to setup IAS as pure proxy and still use SF People Analytics?

In general IAS can of course be configured as a pure proxy for a corporate IdP.
However SuccessFactors, when integrating with embedded SAC (PeopleAnalytics), requires the users to be in IAS. The necessary trust configuration is established by the SFSF Upgrade Center.
One can keep IAS as a proxy as far as authentication is concerned: employee users shall still benefit from single sign-on with the corporate IdP.
