Hello,
after deletion the old hashes cannot be used anymore for logon.
b)simply force the users to change their password. This shall be a regular obligation for every user, for instance every 6 month or so. Also for admins of course, although it might seem to be inconvenient.
afterwards delete the old hashes again.
there is no other way for automatic hash replacement than listed above.
