MIG and MAG

Hello All,

Due to some reasons we had to migrate B2B EDI Integrations present on Non SAP Middleware to SAP Integration suite. Transformation present in these interfaces are IDoc to EDIFACT or vice versa. Unfortunately the mapping specification documents are not available for the interfaces present on Non SAP Middleware today. The only data that is available is Input and output payloads of the interfaces from Production environment.  And the IDoc types that we are using are standard from S4.

Can someone clarify if MIG and MAG present in Discover helps in creating mappings in SAP Integration Suite by looking at the existing interface input, output files?

Regards,

Naresh

No, the Integration Advisor will give proposals based on crowd sourcing the mappings in use by customers, but not based on payload evaluation.

Naresh, you can create the MIG’s based on XML , but if you don’t have specs you won’t be able to cover all the business rules present in your old platform.

you will hav to run larger set of inputs and outputs via the maps and develop an integration strategy.

cheers, Sunil.

Hello Sunil,

Thanks for your response.

Would it be possible to see the mapping between source (EDI/IDoc) and target (EDI/IDoc) fields in MIG/MAG?
