Hi,
We have a Production ECC System which is on EHP7 Non-Unicode.
It has 2 Production Work Clients - Clients A and B.
Client-A of it is being used for HR and GCS.
Client-B is being used for Plant Maintenance, Finance and Quality Mgmt.
We are looking on the Option to move a part of one of the "Client-A only i.e. GCS to SAP S/4 HANA Cloud" whereas others will still be on On-Premise itself.
Please help with the possible Options/approaches in moving with this scenario from On-Premise ECC to SAP S/4 HANA Cloud without disturbing the others.
Thanks.
Regards,
Gowtham
Considering all steps involved, my recommendation is to start a greenfield instead of a migration/conversion.
To move the CGS to the cloud, you will need this (still on premises):
1. create a copy of the source system (as a sandbox)
2. Remove the client-B on the new sandbox (t-code SCC5)
3. Remove all data related to the HR module (you will advanced HR consultants to do this)
4. Execute the conversion using DMO of Software Update Manager (SUM).
