QueryByElements alternative

Hello,

I created a custom BO that will retrieve records for a specific date range from the SupplierInvoice Business object using querybyelements. However it is returning more than 1000 rows which takes a long time. Is there another way other than querybyelements?

I tried to use the retrieve function however it needs the UUID to be passed.

querybyelements is the best way to retrieve records within a time range.
