SAC Calculation type is missing with live connection to snowflake

Hi All,

I have setup a SAC live connection to Snowflake using APOS gateway interface.

when I trying to create a dimension to measure calculation type, the option is missing under calculation editor .

I can see only below three types of calculation, other 2 types dimension to measure and date difference is missing

1- Calculated measure

2- Restricted Measure

3- Aggregation

Is anyone facing the same issue while live connection to Snowflake or any other non sap database using APOS gateway ?

or any idea/suggestion is already posted to sac community earlier .

Any update on this will really appreciated.

Hi,

If we are using a live connection in SAC / any live connection , and in story if we want to create a calculation then we can create below 3 calculation only.

1- Calculated measure

2- Restricted Measure

3- Aggregation

This is a SAP SAC product limitation, you can raise a https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/

However, the availability of these in-story calculations depends on the connection type and the back-end system.

Just to add one point here , if we are having live connection to sap hana then all 5 calculation types are visible , the limitation is for live connection to non sap database using APOS gateway.

Also need to check one point with you in similar line, when I am using live connection to snowflake, the calculated dimension option is not visible even though it is there when we creating live connection to sap hana.
Is also a sap product limitation ?

Do we have any ticket raise earlier to sap support ?

yes, calculated dimension is not available in live connection.
