SAP HANA BW Migration

Hello,

We want to Migrate SAP BW to SAP HANA. The Current Net weaver Version is 7.4 which is Installed in the BW Server and Db2 as Database and OS as Linux. Could you please let me know what are the pre-requisites for the same.

Ajitabh,

First of all the relevant SAP Notes pertaining to the ABAP SP of 7.4 release should be applied so that the relevant corrections are in place to prevent issues from ABAP side. For example if your system is currently on 7.4 BW ABAP SP#09 then apply all the relevant latest notes on this SP before you perform the pre-migration activities on your BW system.  

Pre-migration phase involves running few reports like ZBW_HANA_CHECKLIST, ZBW_ABAP_ANALYZER,  ZBW_TRANSFORM_FINDER, SAP_BW_HOUSEKEEPING etc... on the BW ABAP system to identify issues that needs to be resolved before the DB is migrated to HANA. This involves source connection issues, focussing on the BW objects that needs modifications so as to perform better after migrating to HANA, ABAP routine performance checks and transformations checks and more...
