SAPUI5 Integration: HTML5 Island CRM WebUI

Hello,

I am looking for (technical) information regarding UI5 integration via HTML5 Islands in SAP CRM WebUI: As part of the UI Roadmap Document Road Map Revision: 2017.02.16 this should be possible for SAP CRM 7.0 EhP4 SP05.

I did some research on the common SAP infosites and blogs, but couldn't find further information. I am aware of the integration option as described in this blog. I've also read the discussione here which says, that HTMLIslands are only for WebDynpro (which was in 2014 for sure correct).

I also recently had a requirement to integrate a UI5 application into the WebUI using htmlIsland. Besides the blog post mentioned by Dhruvin Mehta, I can also recommend the following blog post:

In the course of the integration, I also stumbled across some problems such as the transfer of user settings from the launchpad when the WebUI is integrated into the Fiori launchpad. Furthermore, the necessary specification of fixed px values in the height tag of the htmlIsland caused problems.
