Split GL accounts in BW

Hi All,

We got one requirement to build report based on GL and amount (coming from source) in such a way that GL gets split based on below highlighted XYZ, ABC, EFG (which is not coming from the source). I tried with Bex Query designer Structure, But no luck

Could you please help me how to get the expected result.

Hi Sanjana

In BW you typically have 3 options

Structure in query (you tried that and did not like it)

Navigational attribute on the characteristic that is driving the split (probably GL account)

External hierarchy on driving characteristic. If the source is SAP ECC then there is typically already a defined GL account hierarchy that you can load to BW.

Thanks Kristian for reply! I checked all above suggestions but my requirement is little bit different. Expected result would be, the dimensions ABC, XYZ should come from GL and its respective amounts as well.

OK, if it should come from GL why don't you just load it from GL?
