sybase adaptive server license depend on the physical cores or threads ..

Good day

I am working on a server supporting multi threading ,
Which is IBM server with 12 cores each core are 8 threads ,
My question is , the sybase adaptive server license that i will requesting it will depend on the number of physical cores (12) or the total number of threads (96) !?

The license will be based on the number of physical cores.

On this page pick 'Sybase' tab and question 'What is number of licenses':

Assuming ASE is already installed, the license utilities will also report on number of licenses required for that host.
