validate HANA box with SAP?

Hi All,

We are getting HANA installed box from vendor this weekend.

Do we need to validate HANA box with SAP before proceeding our activities on the HANA box.

Please advise.

Hello Karthik,

As long as the box is listed under the list of SAP-certified HANA appliances here (

Certified SAP HANA® Hardware Directory  ),,

- then no further validation is necessary.

One case that may apply is that you're using TDI (Tailored Datacenter Integration) which imply that you're looking at reusing other storage ad network equipment in conjunction with the box. in That case, follow these procedures to benchmark and validate your environment:
