Versioning / Change control in HANA?

Hi all,

If my understanding is correct, the only way to transport/move any HANA model/view changes across different environment is to do import/export (XML files?). And even interesting thing is that we can edit the same once imported in to the target environment. So now the question is, how are we handling transport/change control in HANA. Do we have anything called versioning in HANA? If import/export is the only option, then how is it controlled (only through proper user authorization?)

Hello Gokul,

as of now there is no version management included in SAP HANA Studio.

Currently this would be something that I'd do via the exported XML files and any version management (git, perforce, subversion... whatever).

However, I know that our development is aware of this lacking functionality and maybe they'll include such a feature in HANA studio later on.
