SAP Fiori Standard Apps Roles

Dear All,

We have configured some standard fiori apps but we do not want to use the standard roles for the apps. We have created Custom roles for Fiori tiles and catalogs. Also we have created roles with IWSG and IWSV for oData services corresponding to the apps but still we get some authorization issues in SU53. Could anyone suggest what would be the best way to configure roles considering its a Hub Deployment?

Hi Anmol

Traditionally most administrators copy the standard role to a custom Z role and then adjust accordingly. If you have specific authorization errors it may help to list them.

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for the answer. We tried copying the Standard role to Z role but the Standard role doesnt have any aouthorization Object. It only have Fiori Catalog and Group assigned. So i am unable to get the data. SU53 is throwing error. Role exists in FES and not in BES.

Hi Anmol,

From experience, a lot of apps require backend authorization as well. You should check the gateway error logs ,/IWFND/ERROR_LOG, on the FES.
