SAP IdM and Cloud Platform licensing

Hi,

Typically, when using SAP IdM within a pure SAP landscape, there is no license cost involved.

Does that still apply if connecting to the Cloud Platform Identity Provisioning tool? Anyone done this yet?

Hi Henrik,

Well that depends on contract signed with SAP by customer.

For ex. for my current client, IPS is licensed only for Successfactor and for ARIBA is subject to additional licensing cost.

Hence please get clarified with SAP.

FYI, the below information I received from SAP, when I was checking about licensing model of IPS

• SAP Cloud Platform Identity Provisioning is licensed per “Monitored Users” where Monitored Users are individuals whose information or credentials are monitored by the Cloud Service or who use the reporting console of the Cloud Service.
