Hi,
is it possbile to integrate SAP Workzone with On-premise Fiori Launchpad ? our Fiori URL is SSO enabled with AD credentials, if integration is possbile then we would like to keep the same ( SSO ) for Workzone also.
we dont want to use launchpad service which is available in SAP BTP services.
can anyone throw some light on this ?
Regards,
Dinesh R
SAP Work Zone Standard Edition is the new name for the SAP BTP Launchpad Service.
If is it then still an option you should get SAP Identity Authentication, connect it to your AD or Azure AD as the Corporate Identity Provider and you will have SSO also to the Launchpad in the BTP.

to add to gregorw s answer: Business Content, like Fiori Apps from SAP S/4HANA on-prem system can also be federated or manually integrated to "SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition" (formerly known as "SAP Work Zone") to the application launchpad of "SAP Build Work Zone, advanced edition". Please check following documentation:
Adding Apps to Your Site | SAP Help Portal
Integrating Business Content | SAP Help Portal
Regarding SSO set up and IAM Integration, you might check System Integration Guide for SAP Cloud Identity Services | SAP Help Portal

Ah..i got it .
i was under a impression that workzone can be linked as external app in on-premise Fiori launchpad.
however it seems, we need to deploy the Apps in to workzone site. Anyways i will check with BTP onboarding team to see if there is anyway to have workzone as seperate tile or link integrated to on-premise fiori launchpad.
we are not in S/4 yet, we are still in ECC .
Thanks Marco Holzwarth & Gregor Wolf.

just for your information: Content Federation is not limited to SAP S/4HANA. You can also integrate apps from ECC system as well (depending on SAP Fiori Front-End Server (FES); see Content Federation from SAP Business Suite is now available | SAP Blogs)
Using Content Federation or manual integration of Fiori apps from on-prem FES to SAP Build Work Zone (standard | advanced edition), there is no need to (re-)deploy them to BTP rather then "just" integrating. The runtime might still be the on-prem FES (eg especially for standard Fiori apps). In the following document, you can also find the main SAP Fiori scenarios, the recommended system landscape setup, and the SAP Front-end server deployment options: SAP Fiori Deployment Options and System Landscape Recommendations
