Severe error(s) occurred in phase MAIN_PROFSTART/STOPSAP_TRANS!

Hello All,

I am during downtime of upgrader CRM production system. At start of downtime I get this error:

We have to pplication server. 

This trouble ticket was created by SAPup on 20141220035316

Additionally for error no 10061 (Related with Network),kindly follow SAP Note   1341701 - partner 'hostname:service' not reached

and share the results.

This telnet 10.0.26.252  3302 will not Work because this application server is stop.

I had find this note:

1664214 - Upgrade is not able to start or stop an instance because of an "HTTP error

Will try that and will come back with result.

Hi Reza,

As you're still not under downtime,and SUM fails to connect the system for clean stop then you could stop SUM and repeat the phase by starting all.

I did stop sum and sap restart the windows and restart Again sap and sum, but still the same

Hi Reza,

Can you share the following logs and output?

1. Latest SUM directory logs

2. Output of command "sapcontrol -nr <inst no> -function GetProcessList"

3. Output of command "ps -ef | grep sap"

Hi Reza,

Yes it could be as you're getting issue

SAPup broke during phase STOPSAP_TRANS in module MAIN_PROFSTART

As for any reasons SAPup broken during stopping.Try to restart and re execute the phase.

Dear Reza,

Try out the following:

1. Exit from SUM gui

2. Stop the sdt server. Check that no sdt process should be active at the OS level.

3. As SAP instance is down, check no other sap process is active at OS level.

4. Execute "Cleanipc all remove" from <sid>adm user only.

5. Start SAP instance

6. Start sdt server and SUM gui.

7. Repeat the phase and let us know the results.

Can the reason be the user is locked?
