Hello experts 🙂
We wanted to track when some fields change (from a custom table) in our SAP HANA Cloud database, is there any standard way of doing it? or at least some best practices about it?
Best regards,
Sara.

There is no standard way to track changes to fields in a custom SAP HANA Cloud database table. However, as a best practice, it is recommended to use triggers andaudit tables for this purpose. These types ofaudit logs can help keep track of any changes to fields, and they can even be used for scheduling and forecasting processes. For example, you can create triggers to log when changes to specific fields occur, and then use audit tables to store the changes for further analysis. Additionally, you can use the audit tables to spot any potential issues or suspicous behavior. Lastly, SAP HANA Cloud Platform also offers the option to use Change Data Capture (CDC) for change tracking.
