Unable to find SAP Datasphere option in BTP

Hello,

I am trying to setup a trial for SAP Datasphere. I login to my trial account and check for "Datasphere" or "SAP Data" keywords in "Entitlements" or "Services" and I do not find anything there.

I am not sure how to get the trail access. Tried using my S and P userid and still the results are the same.

Can someone help me on the steps for getting a trial access to datasphere please?

Hello cardoso , sandeepsuggu and sagarsv ,

Appreciate your inputs on my queries. It helped a lot.

I am just putting down my findings and approaches we can use to experience and use sap datasphere

1. If you want to explore Datasphere, we can go with the Guided Experience which can be accessed via the link shared by Sagar - https://www.sap.com/india/products/technology-platform/datasphere/get-started.html

However, this comes with a few limitations like you will have restricted access to the features of datasphere, you will not get admin access and no external connections to get data can be made. We will need to make use of sample data present as a part of the datasphere guided experience.

It comes with a trial of 30 days.

2. If you want to have more permissions and explore integrated options etc., then you can go for a Pay as You Go Model as rightly mentioned by Ismael. To access this, you will need to create a global btp account and not a trial btp account and then register for a datasphere free trial which I think would be available for (30 / 90 days i'm not sure) / You need to purchase the datasphere license.

In the pay as you go model, we can follow the resources shared by sandeep - https://developers.sap.com/mission.data-warehouse-cloud-get-started.html

https://youtu.be/0zGuMus4R10

However, one limitation is that the pay as you go model is restricted and available to use only in a few areas like North America, Europe and Australia. If you are based out of India or any other countries not part of the mentioned regions, you will not be able to register for the pay as you go model for the BTP global account.

Thanks and Regards,

Naitik Gada

I tried to create an account following this approach.

However, it says that the account creation on store is limited to few regions and it can be used in NA, EU and Australia only.

I guess that's a limitation here and hence I am not able to create a global account.

Hello naitikgada,

Just to double check, are you using BTP Trial?
As far as I know, Datasphere is only available in BTP Pay-as-you-go, not BTP Trial.
