Cheers to our group's first anniversary! It has been one year since the launch of the Yerevan Group, which served as the first pilot for SAP Community's location-based groups. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped to establish, actively engaged or simply joined our network.
Over the past year, despite the challenging situation in Armenia, significant progress has been made within the Armenian SAP ecosystem. On this occasion, let us recap and gather some of the noteworthy highlights.
SAP NOW Yerevan 2022
One of the year's most significant events was SAP NOW Yerevan with a program featuring sessions by SAP representatives and partners/customers from Armenia and the entire CIS region
My personal highlights were: Inspiring keynote speech by SAP CEE MD Tom Kindermans, the business breakfast for representatives of Public Sector, the round table discussion with SAP's Academic and partner community. Kudos to the entire org team for the awesome organization, and particularly to Valeri Sargsyan, SAP Armenia's Country Manager.
New partnerships
On June 3rd,2022, Armenian OneVision officially announced its partnership with SAP and hosted a Business Transformation Summit featuring guest speakers presenting digital transformation and innovation roadmap for the Armenian market.

In September, a collaboration agreement was signed between Revytech, SAP, and SAP Fioneer. During their five-day visit, SAP representatives familiarized themselves with Armenia's digital transformation agenda and had business meetings related to ongoing projects. A dedicated workshop was organized for Armenian banks and financial institutions to introduce them to the new business model, CLaaS platform ("Corporate Landscape as a Service"), developed as part of this collaboration.
A special shoutout goes to Michael Dorn, whose great efforts made this partnership possible.

SAP Startup Factory
Succeeding the 1st batch with 8/10 graduate startups, SAP Startup Factory by BANA completed a second round with new 6 startups. I was particularly impressed by the results of RedRays that developed security platform for protection and vulnerability detection of SAP products. Check out the blog posts by RedRays CTO Vahagn Vardanyan, who has already become an active contributor for security topics in SAP Community.

SAP University Alliance initiatives
The past year has seen fruitful results also from SAP UA engagements in Armenia.
The collaboration with TUMO Labs had a great first round and made successfully also the second one. More than 100 students from Armenian universities took part in the SAP Innovation Challenge under the guidance of the SAP Innovation Center Network.

Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) joined SAP UA as a full member and a cooperation agreement was signed by Rector of ASUE Diana Galoyan and Managing Director of Multi-country cluster, SAP CEE Alexander Metechko.

For further information, Igor Belousov's blogs provide excellent summaries of all the UA activities
Community-led events
This year we did not have any large community events, but rather many spontaneous meetups organized by our active members mostly taking place in Walldorf and Yerevan. It was especially great to see @Elenmg taking the imitative and bringing #GlobalRunningDay to Armenia!
Did you participate in any SAP-related initiatives in Armenia?
If so, we would love to hear from you in the comments section. Feel free to share your insights, photos or any other relevant occurrences that I may have missed.
