If i a client is completely exiting their DC and moving to SAP RISE PCE, how do they cater to their SMTP server, AD and DNS? Does SAP allow these to be migrated to the RISE PCE environment? Or will the client need to host these in their own Azure subscription and then enable VNet peering between this and their RISE tenant?
Hi Richa,
When you migrate your SAP landscape to SAP PCE in any hyperscalers of your choice in SAP side ,SAP will create DNS servers (Primary and DR) normally called CGS servers which use DNS forwarding from your on premises to SAP landscape in PCE.
Basically all your servers IP range will be part of that DNS server .Normally customers have access from their on prem to those servers in PCE with no restriction and from the other way around customers create ACL rule in their network for whitelisting to have more control from SAP PCE instances to their on prem network.
Hope this helps,
Amin
