Good question. For that matter, I've been wondering what the future is for Persistent Classes? They were a great concept and then SAP seemed to stop development a good few versions ago.
As CDS and AMDP and various other HANA goodies are making some of the performance benefits obsolete, perhaps SAP have no further plans for persistent classes?
OK it's probably not the right forum, but is slightly relevant because the eclipse guys and gals may know if it features on their roadmap.

Mike

Hi Michael,
persistent classes are only supported in the ABAP Workbench.
It is not possible to create or edit persistent classes in ADT.

Hi Stefan,
thank you...
any idea if the Support will come?
Or is there an "strategic Technology" as alternative to use?
best regards

Hi Michael,
it is not planned to support persistent classes in ADT.
For object persistence, you may use the BOPF (Business Object Processing Framework) as an strategic alternative.
