Hi there,

I'm quite new to abap development.

Is there an alternative developing abap applications as with eclipse adt or sap gui directly?
Maybe, is there an option using IntelliJ by Jetbrains?

Hi,

no, for pure classical ABAP-development, I do not see any alternative to traditional ABAP Workbench (via SAP GUI) and ABAP Development Tools (ADT) using Eclipse as IDE.

Of course, there are some approaches to implement ABAP development also in some other IDE, but as far as I know they are not really supported by SAP.
