TEXTs are NOT copied - when copying a material master from another material master

Hi,

The ref. material has the text in the tabs 'Basic data text', 'Inspection text', 'Internal comment'. When I try creating a new material with ref. material, the texts are not copying to new material in a scenario.

Scenario 1: texts are NOT copied

MM01->select industry sector, material type and put the ref. material->press ENTER->press SAVE

Scenario 2: texts are copied

MM01->select industry sector, material type and put the ref. material->press ENTER->navigate to 'Basic data text', 'Inspection text', 'Internal comment' -> press SAVE

I like to know why the texts are not copied in SCENARIO 1. Is there any setting missing or is this the usual way of working?? Please clarify me.

Did you first check with functionals your Customizing before going to Abap, only then look at BAdI BADI_MATERIAL_REF.

T-Code OMSR, Find field LTEXT_GRUN, Doubleclick:

Make sure...


then go to 

apply this settings to LTEXT_GRUN
