Thank you for understanding.   Hi all, The digital skills initiative is primarily aimed toward people generally considered to be "underrepresented" in the technology industry. The definition of "underrepresented" can vary from region to region, but as the name betrays it is generally groups of people not normally associated with tech jobs in your local area. The reasons behind can range from a lack of access to high level education due to living in a remote area to systemic inequality in a particular region.  For those corporate applicants to the initiative who did make it into the tech industry: we want to hear a bit more about you! Share some inspiration for the newcomers to the SAP ecosystem and tell us why you belong to an underrepresented group in tech and how you made your way into the industry despite that. Dear SAP Learning Community,  I am a 33 years old, Colombian-Spanish woman currently living in Germany. Until now have had a diverse career path. I got an International Business Bachelors Degree in Colombia and had the opportunity to work in the international commerce industry there, and in Spain. After some years of work experience I got a Master's Degree in Business Studies and International Development Studies in Denmark and focused in the latter topic. I am currently living in Germany where I am working in an SAP consulting company as Operations Coordinator. While the company offers many interesting growth opportunities, it has been difficult for me to pursue any due to my lack of SAP related experience and knowledge. Greetings Everyone, I recently stumbled upon the information regarding the Digital Skills Initiative and felt motivated to reach out and express my keen interest in enhancing my skills through this Learning Program and ultimately earning a Free Attempt at Certification. I am 46 years old and for the past 25 years, I have dedicated my career to the Hotel industry. However, fueled by a strong passion for technology, I am now looking to transition into a tech-focused career at SAP ERP and take on the new challenge of a digital upskilling. I believe that my experience has equipped me with valuable transferable skills including proficiency in customer service, communication, problem-solving and management. Throughout my career, I have consistently dedicated time and effort to expand my technical knowledge, whether through online courses or independent study. While embracing challenges and maintaining resilience has been a constant in my journey, I recognize that transitioning to a new industry (particularly the technology world) presents both excitement and challenges, especially at my stage in life. Currently, I am actively exploring the courses offered by the Learning website, with the aim of obtaining certification to validate my skills and pursue new career opportunities with confidence.
