"In a world where business models and technology are disrupted in an instant for me it is all about trust: Trust within SAP, within your team and most importantly trust in your own talent. I think it is extremely important to know what you do well, what you enjoy doing, and how you can contribute to SAP’s strategy. For me, one of the most important aspects of leadership is to help employees identify their own talents and strengths and find a project, product or position within SAP that fits them.
I want people to be passionate about what they do, push themselves beyond their comfort zones and succeed. Yes, sometimes determining those strengths and having conversations about their passions can be time consuming in our busy days. But it builds an incredible amount of trust and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing an employee tell you with a bright face and shining eyes about the new project or product they delivered.
As a passionate diver I know with a team you can trust you can go beyond your limits."
