Option to select the Tax Rate Type codes in Hospitality Mode vs Retail Mode

Dear CCO Team,

We are using SAP Customer Checkout 2.0 FP08 PL08 under Hospitality Mode but on it we don't find a option to select the Tax Rate Type codes per line item which is available in Retail mode. Basically some of the line items will be 5% VAT and some of the lines will be 0% VAT which is already configured in SAP Business One and in Retail mode we are able to select the tax codes as per the attached snapshot but how to get the same option in hospitality mode, please advise.

We also tried to check the option of Function under Function Group 500 - Table Service in quick selection for Hospitality Mode and tried to add the function type 2009 - Apply reduced tax rate to sales item but when we try to save, it gives error as "mixing functions with other types is not allowed"

Would appreciate your guidance for it please.

Kind Regards,

Kawish

Dear Kawish,

As Joerg mentioned, create a new button in your quick selection only with the function 2012 (Apply tax rate to sales item), then you will be able to select the tax rate for the item.

In the sales screen, add the items, then select the item row (image1)

then, click on the button "2012" to change the tax rate (image2)

Hope it helps you.

Regards,
Anderson

Dear Kawish:

The error message "mixing functions with other types is not allowed" you are receiving is because you already have an item and text assigned to the same quickselection button. Please first remove the article and text items, and then try to add the function again.

Also, if the function 2009 doesn't do what you expect, kindly try the function 2012, which should resemble the functionality from the retail mode.

Hope this helps, kindly accept this answer if it did.

Best regards,

Joerg.

Hello Kawish:

Unfortunately you have to use two different buttons for this purpose: 1) for the item and text, and 2) to apply the different sales tax. I don't know of any way to "merge" these into a single button.

We are experiencing a similar problem where in one location a 18% applies, and in another location for the same item a 28% tax applies. Since we only have a few products with this condition we have not yet attacked this problem fully, but it sounds similar to your requirement.

The idea we have to solve this is to create a structure in B1 that allows us to store the tax rate code per price list (kind of like a UDF in the ITM1 table, which is unfortunately not supported yet), and then insert that tax rate code using the scenario extension step for item synchronization.

Hope this information helps.

Best regards,

Joerg.

Dear Joerg,

Thanks for your quick response.

We tried the option as suggested by you by removing the article and text items and then only adding the function and then trying to add item code but on that also system gives the same error message "mixing functions with other types is not allowed". Below snapshot for reference.

Logically the system the first step should be to add the article in the quick selection and then if there is a text required then the text function is added and then it should allow to add any other function but for our case its giving error.

Kind Regards,

Kawish
