Dear Experts,
In C4C OData Service explorer, Is there a way to create new OData service by copying Standard / Custom OData service in C4C?
Whenever I want to create a similar OData services (Standard/Custom) with slightly different service metadata, I had to manually spend a lot of time creating every service from scratch.
There are no versioning capabilities also available for OData service to maintain and test different versions in the same service.
Regards,
Vignesh
Hello Vignesh,
At the moment, it is not possible to directly copy an Odata service to use it as a model for a new one. This is a new requirement to the system, so we suggest posting it in our influence portal to be considered for future releases.
One feature that may assist on this scenario is the download and upload of XML files. It is possible to download an XML with the definition of an Odata service, and also create a service by uploading the same definition in XML.
Kind regards,
Leonardo

Hi Leonardo,
When we download and upload the same service XML, if the existing service is still available in the system it will throw error.
I have created a new Idea ( https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/229785 ) in the C4C Influence Portal.
Regards,
Vignesh
